It is a fact that President Barack Obama, the most powerful man in the world today was born of a Kenyan father. Had his mother’s marriage to a Kenyan Husband, Barack Obama, Sr, ended like a fairly tale of happy ever after, Barack Obama would have ended up being brought up in Nairobi. A true son of Kagalo and a member of the Green Army- a fan of GOR MAHIA football club.
It is a fact that Barack Obama is very ambitious, articulate and very smart. He is a great leader.
What if Obama was the President of Kenya?
Perhaps in this narrative, he would have moved from the Law Profession to Politics and ended up as the 4th or 5th President of the Kenyan Nation.
By all means, we would then have said that he would have done very well. To aspire to lead and actually lead the Nation of Kenya, is a no mean achievement.
Is Obama living beyond the Kenyan Dream?
Barack Obama is the President of the United stattes of America. He has surpassed our wildest dreams. He has gone further than any position the Kenyan Nation would have offered him.
He is living a life and achieved what the Nation of Kenya would not have accorded him.
Was it in Obama’s Best Interest?
Yes, it was in Barack Obama’s best interest that he stayed in the U.S.A, though he has a Kenyan heritage.
As a child, he was given the opportunity in a foreign land, an opportunity that would not have been accorded to him in his father’s land.
Has Kenya lost out?
It is a fact that Obama has a Kenyan heritage. When he visits Kenya in July, 2015, Kenya will not be welcoming an American President, but their son, who lives abroad, speaks perfect English and reigns in the United States of America. He has made Kenya proud. He is their favourite son. He has made every little Kenyan child’s dream valid.
Yes, Kenya has gained immensely by having Barack Obama in the United States of America.
