Benjamin Njoroge
Benjamin Njoroge is the founder of the firm and was admitted to the bar in 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi and a Post graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is a certified mediator, Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public. Mr. Njoroge has been engaged in active litigation for the past 18 years.
He is the Secretary General of the Mombasa Law Society (MLS) for 2013 – 2015 and a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East African Law Society. Mr. Njoroge serves in the MLS Bar Bench Committee. The Bar Bench committee is a dispute resolution forum for members of the judiciary and legal practitioners and provides benchmarks for best practice.
Mr. Njoroge is a member of the MLS Family Law Division and is one of the founding members of the Mombasa Chapter of the Inns of Court that has been started in Mombasa and is geared towards improving the skills, professionalism and ethics of both the Bench and the Bar. He is also a Moot Court Judge at the University of Nairobi (UON) and participates in the Mombasa Law Society/University of Nairobi Moot Court competitions.
As faculty member of the Trial Advocacy Programme organized by the Justice Advocacy Africa/UON/MLS, he is involved in the training of advocates in Trial Advocacy and Access to Justice.
Mr. Njoroge’s personal interests lie in miniature ‘African Bonsai’ gardening and biking in Mombasa and Kilifi.
Caroline Katisya – Njoroge
Caroline Katisya is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She has 16 years experience in various areas of practice including litigation and commercial law. She is also a Certified Public Secretary.
She formerly worked at the Kenya Petroleum Refineries Limited where she headed the legal department and served as the Company Secretary to the Board. She is passionate about energy matters and is pursuing a Masters in Energy Law from the University of Dundee.
Between 2004 and 2007 she worked for the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA Kenya) on various women’s rights programs and rose to head the Coast branch of the organization. She is a Director of Mpower Limited which is an organization committed to women economic empowerment by providing marketing platforms for small and medium enterprises.
She is a Member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya. She has previously served as a Committee member of the LSK and is currently the secretary of the ICPSK Coast Branch. She participated as an assessor for the ICPSK Champions of Governance (COG) Awards 2013.
She is an alumni of the US Government International Visitors Leadership Programme. Her personal interests include youth mentorship and women empowerment.
